Remembering 9/11

Some incredible things are happening with technology in our school.  Perhaps some of the activities that I share will inspire you to try something similar.

Coming soon to a theater near you!!Felicia Rutigliano is working hard using imovie to create a video compilation of the student-faculty interviews on 911.  Thanks to many of you who gave a few minutes of your busy day to come to Steve Godbout's and Felicia's US History classes to answer some questions about your memories of 911.  The students used the ipads to film the videos and then we uploaded them all to google drive.

Click on the following link to see the finished literary genre timeline created by Sara Stein and her American literature honors students.  It came out great and looks very professional.

Photo cred goes to Lorrie Zanini.  In the picture above we are having a working lunch to talk about the different ways to create videos to flip some science lessons.  After our discussion Aimee Selby, Gerry Cushing, Lorrie Zanini, Catherine Burchat and Ken Weider made a group video on sig figs.Nice job!!
In other flipping news a shout out to Adrienne Holmes for creating her first screencast on consecutive integer word problems.

Would you like to try QuadBlogging?  Check out the following website:QuadBlogging  and talk to Jen Zuba who is going to give it a try.

Once again I will offer a prize to the first 3 thoughtful comments, but this week the comment contest begins at 2 pm today.  Congrats to our winners from last week Kristin Turner, Amelia Davis, Jen Zuba and Marie Porteus who cannot win again(sorry)

  1. The Godbout/Rutigliano History event was a great idea. It was so cool to talk to kids about an major important event --something they were barely alive for. Very well organized and I can't wait to see the movie
