Google Drive and more

1.Thanks to all of you who came to the quick tech class on
logging in, uploading and sharing with Google Drive.  In the future I will be offering more sessions on Google apps.  Your Google drive is available where ever you have an internet connection and from any device.  It is a great way to share and collaborate with students and colleagues.

2.Loved seeing the use of technology at our Open House.  Steve and Felicia shared their 9/11 video with the parents and it was a big hit.  The students in Virginia Fitzgerald's freshman honors classes created videos describing what they will be doing in English class this year.  It was a fun add on to Virginia's description of her course.  As part of the camera crew I was very impressed with how quickly and easily it all came together

3. Sue Whalen, TJ Carron and I met with Colleen Barry, president of the student council, to organize the freshman election process.  For the second year in a row they will be going to a computer lab and casting their votes using a Google form.  Google forms are so easy to set up and use and have may classroom applications

4. Hope you enjoy my newly enhanced Blog.  As you can see it is a work in progress.  I hope some of you will consider using a blog with your students.

Now that it is easier to make comments.  I would love to hear from you about a few things...

  • would anyone be interested in mini tech classes during period 5?
  • looking for suggestions on what you want to learn about in my mini tech session lessons
  • is the new blog format easier to navigate through and comment on?
